Which food wraps are available for Wrapmaster®?
Can a Wrapmaster® dispenser be cleaned in the dishwasher?
Yes, Wrapmaster® dispensers are designed to withstand commercial dishwasher temperatures. Wrapmaster® dispensers can also be easily cleaned with sanitiser spray.
Can I use any food wrap in the Wrapmaster® dispenser?
No, only genuine Wrapmaster® refill rolls can be used.
Can I use Wrapmaster® foodservice film in the microwave?
Yes, Wrapmaster® foodservice film can be used as a lidding agent in a microwave, providing the film does not come into direct contact with the food. Maximum temperature 212°F / 100°C. For best results place film over container, pierce or turn back corner of film to allow steam to escape.
Can I use Wrapmaster® foodservice film in the freezer?
Yes. It’s ideal for separating small items such as fish, chops, steaks, burgers, cakes etc. before overwrapping into storage bags or boxes, so they can be removed individually. Freezer temperatures vary, therefore freezer use is subject to individual trials.
Is Wrapmaster® foodservice film safe to use?
Yes, our foodservice film is FDA compliant and safe to use. To avoid danger of suffocation, keep this product out of reach of babies and small children.
What is the difference between PVC and PE Film?
Wrapmaster® foodservice film (PVC) is the choice for the majority of professional caterers as it has the best cling properties and is suitable for wrapping 95% of all food types, except for pure fats, oils or food preserved in oil. Foodservice film (PE) lacks the cling properties of Wrapmaster® foodservice film (PVC) but is suitable for wrapping high fat foods such as lard, butter, cheese and fish.
Do you stock a sustainable foodservice film?
Wrapmaster® is working on developing further sustainable foodservice film options in line with our mission to become 100% Circular. Currently, in the United Kingdom and Europe Wrapmaster® has recyclable PE cling film and compostable cling film as alternatives to foodservice film (PVC). Although not as ‘clingy’ as foodservice film (PVC), these alternatives have the same food freshness and preservation benefits as foodservice film (PVC). These products are not yet available to order in North America, if you are interested in finding out more about these alternative foodservice films, please contact our customer service team to express your interest: [email protected]
Can I use Wrapmaster® foodservice foil in the oven and microwave?
Yes, but do not allow the foil to come into direct contact with a naked flame or electric elements. Always consult the owner’s manual of your microwave oven and heed the manufacturer’s recommendations for the use of foodservice foil. It can be safe to use small amounts of foodservice foil in a microwave oven.
Can I use foodservice foil in the freezer?
Yes, foodservice foil is easy to mould around food and its strength and thickness will keep food fresh when stored in a freezer or refrigerator.
Do you sell tin foil and is tin foil recyclable?
No, we only sell high-quality standard aluminum foil. Tin foil was made obsolete in the mid-20th century. Aluminum foil is 100% recyclable, in fact it is endlessly recyclable.
How do I recycle foodservice foil?
Wipe or dip Wrapmaster® foodservice foil in washing up water to remove any crumbs or food residue. Scrunch foodservice foil together to form a ball – the bigger the better is easier to recycle.
What can baking parchment be used for?
Wrapmaster® baking parchment is suitable for a variety of applications, but is ideal for baking all types of cakes, cookies, meringues and soufflé. Its excellent non-stick quality means there is no need to pre-grease cake tins, baking pans or the baking parchment itself. Wrapmaster® baking parchment can be used in the microwave for individual portions and in the freezer for separating portions prior to freezing.
Can Wrapmaster® baking parchment be used in the oven?
Yes, Wrapmaster® baking parchment can be used in an oven. Do not allow baking parchment to come in direct contact with a naked flame, electrical heating elements or sides of an oven.
